Turkey answers: Cappadocia

Choose data that lasts through 14 days in Cappadocia

For a two-week Cappadocia trip, plan validity matters as much as the data allowance. A 3 GB plan lasts 15 days, while 1 GB lasts 7 days and may require a second plan before your trip ends.

Start with the plan validity

The 1 GB eSIM is valid for 7 days, so it does not cover a full 14-day stay on its own. It can work for the first part of your trip, but you will need to add another plan for the remaining days if you still need mobile data.

The 3 GB eSIM remains valid for 15 days, making it the simpler starting point for a 14-day trip. These are data-only plans and do not include a Turkish phone number.

Estimate whether 3 GB is enough data

As a practical guide, allow around 150 MB a day for light use, 400 MB a day for regular map, messaging and browsing use, or 1000 MB a day for heavier use. Across 14 days, that is roughly 2.1 GB, 5.6 GB or 14 GB respectively.

A 3 GB plan may suit light daily use, but regular or heavier use can mean adding a second plan even though the 15-day validity still runs. For a larger allowance, 5 GB is valid for 30 days on Vodafone 5G only; 10 GB and 20 GB are also valid for 30 days.

Keep data ready for arrivals and changing plans

Whether you arrive at Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV) or Kayseri Erkilet (ASR), mobile data can help with navigation and confirming shuttle pickups, particularly after a late arrival. It can also be useful while staying in Göreme, Uçhisar or Ürgüp.

Coverage varies by place and building; cave hotels and valleys can have weaker indoor signal. Supplier listings include Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G, but this is not a coverage guarantee. Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator’s tariff before travelling.

Choose data for 14 days

Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.

  • Light use (150 MB a day, about 2.1 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
  • Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 5.6 GB in total): 10 GB Turkey, €9.99, 10 GB for 30 days.
  • Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 14 GB in total): 20 GB Turkey, €22.99, 20 GB for 30 days.

Networks and device compatibility

Plan details updated 2026-10-17. Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G are listed for Turkey plans; 5 GB supports Vodafone 5G only. Reception and speeds vary by location and device. All plans are data only, with no Turkish phone number. Check compatibility before purchase.
