How to install a Turkey eSIM before you fly

Turkey eSIM plans

Before you start

Check that the phone supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked, and keep a stable internet connection for the download.

Keep your QR code and activation details private. Anyone with the code can try to install the profile.

Install steps

• Buy a Turkey plan and wait for verified payment and fulfillment; the QR code appears in your Volt Mobile account.
• Open your phone's settings and choose the option to add an eSIM or a mobile plan; the wording differs by brand and system version.
• Scan the QR code, or enter the activation details if scanning is not possible.
• Label the new line Turkey and set it as the line for mobile data, with your home SIM kept for calls and SMS.
• Turn the Turkey line off until you land, and turn data roaming off for your home SIM.

After landing in Turkey

Switch the Turkey line on and wait for a Turkish network (Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom) to appear. On the Aegean coast a phone can attach to a neighbouring Greek island's network, so choose the Turkish network manually in mobile network settings if needed. The 5 GB plan lists Vodafone 5G only.

If it does not work

Restart the phone, check that the Turkey line is on and set for mobile data, and check that data roaming is enabled for the Turkey line if your phone requires it. Then contact Volt Mobile support with your order details.
