Avoid surprise roaming charges in Cappadocia
Set up your data choices before landing at Nevşehir Kapadokya (NAV) or Kayseri Erkilet (ASR). A Volt Mobile Turkey eSIM lets you keep your home SIM for essentials while using the eSIM line for mobile data.

Turn off data roaming on your home SIM
Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator’s tariff before you travel. To reduce the chance of unexpected charges, switch off data roaming for your home SIM in your phone settings before or on arrival.
Keep the home line active only if you need it, but set Volt Mobile as the line used for mobile data. Volt Mobile Turkey plans are data-only, so they do not include a Turkish phone number.
Signal can vary by place and building, and cave hotels and valleys may have weaker indoor signal.
Use the eSIM line for everyday travel data
Mobile data can help with navigation and confirming shuttle pickups, especially after a late arrival. This can be useful whether you are staying in Göreme, Uçhisar or Ürgüp.
For light use, plan around 150 MB a day; regular maps and messaging can be closer to 400 MB a day; heavier use may reach 1000 MB a day. Available data options are 1 GB for 7 days (€1.39), 3 GB for 15 days (€3.99), 5 GB for 30 days (€6.99), 10 GB for 30 days (€9.99), and 20 GB for 30 days (€22.99).
The 5 GB plan is listed with Vodafone 5G only. Supplier network listings include Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G, while actual signal can differ by location and building.
Avoid accidental Greek island network connections on the Aegean coast
If your trip continues to the Aegean coast, do not leave network selection entirely to automatic mode near Greek islands. Your phone may detect an overseas network, which can lead to roaming use on your home SIM.
Open your mobile-network settings and select Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom manually when needed. Then confirm that Volt Mobile remains your mobile-data line and that data roaming is still disabled on your home SIM.
It is worth checking these settings again after restarting your phone, changing location, or seeing an unfamiliar network name.
Choose data for 7 days
Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.
- Light use (150 MB a day, about 1.05 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
- Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 2.8 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
- Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 7 GB in total): 10 GB Turkey, €9.99, 10 GB for 30 days.
