Turkey eSIM for UK travellers
Turkey eSIM for UK travellers
Heading from the UK to Antalya (AYT), Bodrum (BJV), Dalaman or Istanbul? Turkey is not in the EU or EEA, so ask your operator how roaming works there and compare it with a fixed-price prepaid eSIM.

Turkey sits outside EU-style roaming
UK operators set their own roaming rules for non-EU countries. Whether Turkey is included in your allowance, charged per day or charged per megabyte depends on your operator and tariff, so read your current terms before you fly rather than assuming it works like Spain or Greece.
Volt Mobile plans are prepaid and fixed: 1 GB for 7 days at €1.39, 3 GB for 15 days at €3.99, 5 GB for 30 days at €6.99, 10 GB for 30 days at €9.99 and 20 GB for 30 days at €22.99. The plan ends when the data or validity runs out. Prices are in euros, so the sterling amount depends on your card's exchange rate.
Resort coast: Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman
Antalya Airport (AYT) has Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and Milas-Bodrum (BJV) serves Bodrum and the Aegean coast. Dalaman is another gateway for the south-west coast; this page has no transfer details for it, so confirm pickups with your accommodation.
Along the Aegean coast a phone can attach to a neighbouring Greek island's network. Check that it shows a Turkish network, Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom, and choose it manually in mobile network settings if it does not. That keeps traffic on the eSIM's listed networks instead of a roaming partner.
Which plan suits a UK week or fortnight
A week with maps, messaging and hotel Wi-Fi often fits the 3 GB plan (valid 15 days) or the 5 GB plan (valid 30 days, Vodafone 5G only). Heavier use, such as hotspot sharing for a family, points to the 10 GB plan. Use the calculator page to turn your days and daily use into a suggestion.
The plans are data only: no Turkish number, and the free trial is available for Albania only. Keep your UK SIM for calls and SMS, and switch data roaming off on it.
Before you buy
Your phone must support eSIM and be network-unlocked. UK networks must unlock a phone on request once it is eligible, but check with yours. Install the QR from your Volt Mobile account on home Wi-Fi, then switch the line on after landing.
Check your route and transport operator before travelling. Network availability and speeds vary by location and device.
