eSIM Turkey 7 days: choose enough data for one week

A seven-day trip does not always need a seven-day package. Match your data allowance to the way you travel, then check that validity covers your entire stay.

Choose your Turkey data package

Your trip, your data, your budget. Choose a package below and buy at a clear final EUR price, with two-network access on selected plans. All packages are data-only, without a Turkish phone number.

Validity starts on first connection to a supported network in Turkey. Check compatibility and carrier unlock before paying. Review the amount and terms at checkout. Already paid but not connected? Use the troubleshooting steps below before buying again.

One eSIM. Two network options for your Turkey trip.

Explore Turkey with access to Vodafone and Türk Telekom on our 1, 3, 10 and 20 GB plans. Unlike a single-network package, you have another supported network to select where available if reception on one is poor. Choose the flexibility of two networks for your journey, or our 5 GB Vodafone-only option.

Enjoy 5G where available on a compatible phone, with 4G and 3G connectivity according to local coverage. Pick your GB, see your final EUR price and install before you fly. Network choice gives you flexibility; actual speeds depend on your location, device and network conditions.

The seven-day option

Volt Mobile’s 1 GB Turkey package is valid for 7 days. Its validity starts on first connection to a supported local network. It is a fixed allowance for the package, not 1 GB refreshed each day.

It can suit occasional maps, bookings and messages with Wi-Fi available. If you expect long video calls or frequent uploads, look beyond the cheapest or shortest option. No single estimate can tell you exactly how much your apps will consume.

When a longer-validity plan is a better fit

You can use a longer-validity plan on a short trip. The 3 GB plan lasts 15 days, while the 5, 10 and 20 GB options last 30 days. A one-week traveller who needs more than 1 GB does not need to keep buying small packages just to match the trip length.

Compare current prices and allowances in the catalog. Unused validity is not the same as unused data, and switching off the line does not stop the calendar after activation. The packages are data only, with no Turkish phone number.

Plan the days that use the most data

Arrival day may involve searching maps, contacting accommodation and opening booking documents. A day at the beach may use little data until you upload videos. Save maps, tickets and hotel details offline, then keep video uploads and app updates for Wi-Fi.

Look at your actual usage after the first day. Using decimal planning units, 1 GB spread over a week is about 143 MB a day, while 10 GB is about 1,429 MB a day. These are arithmetic budgets, not tested promises of navigation hours or video quality.

Worked example: assume 400 MB of mobile data per day for seven days. That is 7 × 400 MB = 2,800 MB, or 2.8 GB using 1 GB = 1,000 MB for planning. The 400 MB is an illustrative assumption, not measured app consumption: replace it with your own usage and include any hotspot devices.

At that assumed usage, 1 GB would not cover the week. The 3 GB package at €3.99, valid for 15 days, covers 2.8 GB with just 0.2 GB left over. That is a small reserve, not a guarantee of enough data. If your estimate excludes video calls, uploads or background downloads, include those before choosing a package. The 15-day validity covers a seven-day visit; it does not refill the 3 GB each day.

Before departure and on arrival

Verify eSIM compatibility and carrier unlock before purchase. After payment is confirmed and your eSIM is ready, install using the QR in your account over stable Wi-Fi. Follow the supplied setup instructions before flying.

In Turkey, select the eSIM for mobile data and follow its roaming instructions. Keep home-SIM data roaming off. If the line does not connect, keep the installed profile and contact support using Wi-Fi before buying another plan. Choosing the right allowance once is easier than troubleshooting duplicate purchases.

Keep control of the data line

On iPhone, open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data), select the Turkey line and check that it is on. Select that line under Cellular Data and turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching if you do not want fallback to your home line. On Pixel, open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs and choose the Turkey SIM for mobile data. On Samsung Galaxy, look under Settings → Connections → SIM manager. Menu labels vary by model and software. Enable roaming only as instructed for the travel line; leave home-SIM data roaming off.

Make a data budget you can actually check

Before departure, record the phone’s mobile-data counter and check which billing period it covers. On iPhone the current period may need resetting manually; on Android the displayed cycle may not match your trip. Use the account’s remaining package allowance for the package balance, and the phone counter to identify which apps consume data.

Download your area’s map over Wi-Fi and check that it opens offline before leaving. Use mobile data for live traffic, fresh transit departures and online searches. Save tickets, addresses and the hotel’s contact details separately. Disable mobile-data photo backups and automatic app updates to preserve your allowance.

Subtract data you have already used, then divide the remaining allowance by the days left. Compare that daily budget with yesterday’s actual use. If you are running ahead of budget, pause background downloads and save large uploads for Wi-Fi rather than waiting until the allowance runs out.

Share your connection without surprise downloads

Turkey plans support hotspot sharing on compatible devices. Your phone and connected devices share the package allowance. Before connecting a laptop, pause system updates and cloud synchronisation and set the connection to metered where available. Check your usage after the first session to budget for the rest of the trip.

Give the hotspot a private password and disconnect devices after use. A laptop can consume data even when you are not browsing: check its background downloads before sharing the connection. For regular laptop work, compare the larger allowances before departure rather than choosing solely by the lowest starting price.

Match your week to your arrival and phone setup

Once you have chosen enough GB and days, prepare the arrival that starts your trip. Keep your hotel pin and pickup message offline, and install on Wi-Fi before departure.
