Why install the QR code before departure?
Downloading an eSIM profile is simpler when you have dependable internet and time to check each screen. Save the QR code where you can reach it offline, then add the plan to your phone before your flight.
This leaves one small job on arrival: enable the eSIM data line at Antalya Airport, whether you arrive through Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. You can then check that data is working before heading on to Kaleiçi, Lara or Konyaaltı.
Your step-by-step pre-flight checklist
1. Confirm that your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked. Choose a Volt Mobile data plan, then keep the QR code and installation details accessible on your device or in a saved copy.
2. Before departure, connect to reliable internet, open your phone’s eSIM settings, choose to add an eSIM, and scan the QR code. Complete the download and label the line clearly, for example “Turkey data.”
3. After landing at AYT, turn on the new eSIM line for mobile data and test a webpage or message before leaving the terminal. The plan is data-only and does not include a Turkish phone number.
Choose data with your first days in mind
For lighter use, 1 GB for 7 days is available at €1.39; 3 GB for 15 days costs €3.99. For longer stays, choose 5 GB for 30 days at €6.99 (Vodafone 5G only), 10 GB for 30 days at €9.99, or 20 GB for 30 days at €22.99.
As a simple planning guide, allow around 150 MB a day for light use, 400 MB for regular use, or 1000 MB for heavier use. Supplier-listed networks are Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G; this is not a coverage guarantee.
Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so travellers should check their own operator’s tariff. coverage varies by place and building.
