Getting Around Antalya: Transport, Taxis and Data

Mobile data makes the first part of an Antalya trip simpler: check directions, contact your hotel and request a ride without hunting for Wi-Fi. Activate your eSIM before leaving Antalya Airport (AYT), whether you arrive through Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, so ride apps and hotel messages can work immediately.

Use maps from the airport to your neighbourhood

Google Maps is a practical starting point for checking routes and saving accommodation details as you travel between Kaleiçi, Lara and Konyaaltı. Downloading or saving key locations before setting off can also make navigation easier when you are indoors or between connections.

Coverage varies by place and building, so allow a little flexibility when relying on a live map or app.

Taxis, travel apps and timetable checks

For taxi planning, check BiTaksi and Uber directly on your phone, then review the options shown for your location. App availability, account requirements, payment methods and local operating rules can change, so travellers should check each app before depending on it.

If your trip includes onward travel where ferries are relevant, use current ferry timetable information rather than an old screenshot or saved blog post. Likewise, Istanbulkart top-ups are useful to manage through the relevant app or official channel if your itinerary continues to Istanbul; check the current process before travelling.

Choose data for everyday travel tasks

Volt Mobile eSIM plans are data-only and do not include a Turkish phone number or a free trial. For light map checks, 150 MB a day is a useful planning assumption; 400 MB a day suits more frequent app use, while 1000 MB a day is a higher-use estimate for navigation, ride requests and regular updates.

Available options are 1 GB for 7 days at €1.39, 3 GB for 15 days at €3.99, 5 GB for 30 days at €6.99 on Vodafone 5G only, 10 GB for 30 days at €9.99, and 20 GB for 30 days at €22.99. Supplier listings include Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G, not a coverage guarantee. Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so travellers should also check their own operator's tariff.

Choose data for 3 days

Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.

  • Light use (150 MB a day, about 0.45 GB in total): 1 GB Turkey, €1.39, 1 GB for 7 days.
  • Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 1.2 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
  • Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 3 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
