Turkey answers: Bodrum

A practical data plan for a 3-day Bodrum weekend

Use your data differently on arrival, during a full day around Bodrum’s marinas and Aegean coast, and while wrapping up on departure. Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator’s tariff before relying on it.

Day 1: land, get connected, keep it light

After landing at Milas-Bodrum (BJV), reserve data for the essentials: messages, maps, bookings and any last-minute travel checks. A light-use benchmark of 150 MB for the day helps keep the first day controlled without treating every app refresh as urgent.

Coverage varies by place and building.

Day 2: allow room for a fuller day online

Your full day is the point to budget more generously. Around the marinas and Aegean coast, 400 MB is a useful everyday planning level for navigation, messaging, browsing and sharing; 1,000 MB suits a more data-heavy day.

On the coast, a phone can attach to a neighbouring Greek island’s network. Check that it is on a Turkish network—Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom—and choose it manually in your mobile network settings if needed.

The supplier listing names Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G, but this is not a coverage guarantee.

Day 3: leave a useful data buffer for departure

Keep enough data for check-in, directions, messages and anything you need before leaving. Across three days, the 150 MB, 400 MB and 1,000 MB daily benchmarks amount to roughly 450 MB, 1.2 GB and 3 GB respectively.

For a light weekend, the 1 GB, 7-day plan costs €1.39. If you expect fuller use across the trip, the 3 GB, 15-day plan costs €3.99 and gives more room for a day near the 1,000 MB benchmark.

Choose data for 3 days

Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.

  • Light use (150 MB a day, about 0.45 GB in total): 1 GB Turkey, €1.39, 1 GB for 7 days.
  • Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 1.2 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
  • Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 3 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.

Networks and device compatibility

Plan details updated 2026-10-17. Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G are listed for Turkey plans; 5 GB supports Vodafone 5G only. Reception and speeds vary by location and device. All plans are data only, with no Turkish phone number. Check compatibility before purchase.
