Install before departure

Add your eSIM while you still have a reliable connection before leaving for Turkey. Keep the eSIM line switched off until you have landed at Milas-Bodrum Airport.

After landing, turn on the eSIM line in your phone’s mobile settings and select it for mobile data. Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator’s tariff before using your usual SIM for data.

Choose data for your Bodrum stay

Available data options are 1 GB for 7 days, 3 GB for 15 days, 5 GB for 30 days on Vodafone 5G only, 10 GB for 30 days, and 20 GB for 30 days. Supplier-listed networks are Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G; this is not a coverage guarantee.

For planning, light use can be around 150 MB a day, regular use around 400 MB a day, and heavier use around 1,000 MB a day. coverage varies by place and building.

Check your network along the coast

Around Bodrum’s marinas and the Aegean coast, a phone can attach to a neighbouring Greek island’s network. Check that your phone is connected to a Turkish network: Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom.

If it is not, open your mobile network settings and choose Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom manually. This quick check is especially useful after arriving or when moving along the coast.

Choose data for 3 days

Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.

• Light use (150 MB a day, about 0.45 GB in total): 1 GB Turkey, €1.39, 1 GB for 7 days.
• Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 1.2 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
• Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 3 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
