A 7-Day Bodrum Itinerary for eSIM Data Planning
Use this week-long Bodrum outline to keep data use realistic from your arrival at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV) through time around the marinas and Aegean coast. The key decision is whether 1 GB can last your full seven days or whether you should allow more room for daily use.

Map your data across the week
Day 1 is a good point to set up your eSIM, check mobile data settings and save the information you expect to need after arriving at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV). For days 2 to 6, keep an eye on usage while you are around Bodrum’s marinas and the Aegean coast, rather than waiting until the final day to check your balance.
For a simple seven-day budget, use 150 MB a day for light use, 400 MB a day for regular use, or 1,000 MB a day for heavier use. At 150 MB per day, a 1 GB allowance can be close to its limit over a full week; at 400 MB or 1,000 MB per day, it is likely to run out much sooner.
On day 7, retain enough data for the information you need before leaving. Reducing automatic updates, video use and large uploads can help make a smaller allowance last longer.
What the 1 GB, 7-day plan means
The 1 GB plan provides data for 7 days. It is suited to travellers with modest daily needs, but seven days of validity does not mean seven days of data regardless of use: once the 1 GB allowance is used, there is no data left within that plan.
If your data runs out early, choose another suitable data plan rather than relying on the remaining validity period. A 3 GB plan is valid for 15 days, while 5 GB, 10 GB and 20 GB plans are valid for 30 days; the 5 GB plan is Vodafone 5G only.
Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator’s tariff before travelling if you may fall back on your usual mobile service.
Check the network along the coast
On the coast, an owner has confirmed that a phone can attach to a neighbouring Greek island’s network. Check that your phone is connected to a Turkish network—Vodafone TR or Türk Telekom—and select it manually in your mobile network settings if it is not.
Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G appear in the supplier listing, but this is not a coverage guarantee. coverage varies by place and building.
A quick network check each day is especially useful near the Aegean coast, where an unexpected network selection may affect how your phone connects.
Choose data for 7 days
Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.
- Light use (150 MB a day, about 1.05 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
- Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 2.8 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
- Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 7 GB in total): 10 GB Turkey, €9.99, 10 GB for 30 days.
Networks and device compatibility
Plan details updated 2026-10-17. Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G are listed for Turkey plans; 5 GB supports Vodafone 5G only. Reception and speeds vary by location and device. All plans are data only, with no Turkish phone number. Check compatibility before purchase.
