Turkey eSIM data only: what you get without a phone number
Use internet-based maps, messages and bookings in Turkey while keeping your home SIM. Volt Turkey packages include mobile data, not a Turkish number or ordinary voice minutes.
Choose your Turkey data package
Your trip, your data, your budget. Choose a package below and buy at a clear final EUR price, with two-network access on selected plans. All packages are data-only, without a Turkish phone number.
Validity starts on first connection to a supported network in Turkey. Check compatibility and carrier unlock before paying. Review the amount and terms at checkout. Already paid but not connected? Use the troubleshooting steps below before buying again.

One eSIM. Two network options for your Turkey trip.
Explore Turkey with access to Vodafone and Türk Telekom on our 1, 3, 10 and 20 GB plans. Unlike a single-network package, you have another supported network to select where available if reception on one is poor. Choose the flexibility of two networks for your journey, or our 5 GB Vodafone-only option.
Enjoy 5G where available on a compatible phone, with 4G and 3G connectivity according to local coverage. Pick your GB, see your final EUR price and install before you fly. Network choice gives you flexibility; actual speeds depend on your location, device and network conditions.
What data only actually means
Your eSIM supplies an internet connection. Apps can use it for messaging, navigation, email and online calls, provided the apps and connection are available. It does not give you a local number for ordinary calls or SMS verification.
If a hotel, bank or service requires a Turkish phone number, this package is not a substitute. Keep access to the number already registered with your accounts and check your home operator’s charges for receiving or making calls and messages abroad.
Keep your home SIM without using its roaming data
On a compatible dual-SIM phone, choose the Turkey eSIM as the mobile-data line. Keep home-SIM data roaming off and review automatic mobile-data switching. Follow the installation instructions for roaming on the travel eSIM itself.
An app such as WhatsApp does not need a new Turkish number simply because its internet connection comes from an eSIM. Follow the app’s account guidance and retain access to your existing number when account verification is needed.
1 GB or 10 GB: choose around your habits
The 1 GB package lasts 7 days and suits lighter use with Wi-Fi available. The 10 GB package lasts 30 days and provides more room for maps, uploads and internet calls. Neither is unlimited, and the longer validity does not guarantee that the allowance lasts for every traveller.
For context, 1 GB divided over seven days is roughly 143 MB per day using decimal planning units. Ten GB over fourteen days is roughly 714 MB per day. These are budgeting examples rather than measured app consumption. Check your recent phone usage before choosing.
Ready to choose?
The full range is 1 GB for 7 days, 3 GB for 15 days, and 5, 10 or 20 GB for 30 days. Check the catalog for current prices. Confirm eSIM compatibility and carrier unlock before paying.
Install with Wi-Fi once the payment is confirmed and the eSIM is ready in your account. The current packages begin validity on first connection to a supported network in Turkey. If local phone calls or a Turkish number are essential, choose a service that explicitly includes them instead of expecting a data-only package to do so.
Keep control of the data line
On iPhone, open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Data), select the Turkey line and check that it is on. Select that line under Cellular Data and turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching if you do not want fallback to your home line. On Pixel, open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs and choose the Turkey SIM for mobile data. On Samsung Galaxy, look under Settings → Connections → SIM manager. Menu labels vary by model and software. Enable roaming only as instructed for the travel line; leave home-SIM data roaming off.
Make a data budget you can actually check
Before departure, record the phone’s mobile-data counter and check which billing period it covers. On iPhone the current period may need resetting manually; on Android the displayed cycle may not match your trip. Use the account’s remaining package allowance for the package balance, and the phone counter to identify which apps consume data.
Download your area’s map over Wi-Fi and check that it opens offline before leaving. Use mobile data for live traffic, fresh transit departures and online searches. Save tickets, addresses and the hotel’s contact details separately. Disable mobile-data photo backups and automatic app updates to preserve your allowance.
Subtract data you have already used, then divide the remaining allowance by the days left. Compare that daily budget with yesterday’s actual use. If you are running ahead of budget, pause background downloads and save large uploads for Wi-Fi rather than waiting until the allowance runs out.
Share your connection without surprise downloads
Turkey plans support hotspot sharing on compatible devices. Your phone and connected devices share the package allowance. Before connecting a laptop, pause system updates and cloud synchronisation and set the connection to metered where available. Check your usage after the first session to budget for the rest of the trip.
Give the hotspot a private password and disconnect devices after use. A laptop can consume data even when you are not browsing: check its background downloads before sharing the connection. For regular laptop work, compare the larger allowances before departure rather than choosing solely by the lowest starting price.
Choose the guide for your next step

Put your data allowance to work on arrival
A data-only package is useful for your own travel tasks: opening a saved map, messaging your accommodation and checking a pickup. Prepare the right airport and keep a copy of essential details offline.
