A practical eSIM plan for 14 days in Istanbul
For a two-week Istanbul stay, data allowance matters, but validity can be just as important. A 1 GB plan lasts 7 days, while 3 GB remains valid for 15 days—long enough to cover the full trip.

Start with validity, not just gigabytes
A 1 GB plan can suit a light first week, but its 7-day validity means it will expire before a 14-day trip ends, even if data remains. You may therefore need a second plan for the final week.
The 3 GB plan lasts 15 days, giving one extra day beyond a two-week itinerary. It is a simpler fit for travellers who expect light daily use across the whole stay.
At a planning estimate of 150 MB a day, 14 days comes to about 2.1 GB. At 400 MB a day, the same trip uses about 5.6 GB; at 1,000 MB a day, it reaches about 14 GB.
When a second eSIM plan makes sense
Choose a second plan if 1 GB is enough for your first seven days but you still want data for the rest of the trip. It can also help if your use rises after arrival, such as when you rely more often on maps, messages and mobile browsing.
For heavier use, consider a larger plan from the beginning: 5 GB lasts 30 days, 10 GB lasts 30 days, and 20 GB lasts 30 days. The 5 GB, 30-day plan is listed for Vodafone 5G only.
Supplier listings include Vodafone 5G and Türk Telekom 5G, but this is not a coverage guarantee. Coverage can differ by location and inside buildings.
Plan your connection around arrival and daily travel
You may arrive at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), then head towards areas such as Sultanahmet, Beyoğlu, Galata or Kadıköy. Having data available can make it easier to check directions and current transport information after landing.
Metro and Havaist airport buses connect the airports with central districts, but routes and timetables can change. coverage varies by place and building.
Turkey is outside the EU/EEA, so check your own operator's tariff before travelling. A prepaid eSIM can be planned around your expected data use and the 14-day validity window you need.
Choose data for 14 days
Estimate your data use for maps, messages and video, then choose your Turkey plan. Actual usage depends on your apps and Wi-Fi availability.
- Light use (150 MB a day, about 2.1 GB in total): 3 GB Turkey, €3.99, 3 GB for 15 days.
- Moderate use (400 MB a day, about 5.6 GB in total): 10 GB Turkey, €9.99, 10 GB for 30 days.
- Heavy use (1000 MB a day, about 14 GB in total): 20 GB Turkey, €22.99, 20 GB for 30 days.
